Now, users can easily select phonebook contacts when making <strong><a class="" href="https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/ios-call-transfer/">blind or attended transfers</a></strong>. <h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>New Call Transfer to Phonebook Contacts</strong></h4>



<p>Handling call transfers is now more convenient with the ability to select contacts directly from your <strong><a class="" href="https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/ios-call-transfer/">phonebook</a></strong>. When initiating a transfer, a list of contacts will appear, allowing you to search and choose the appropriate recipient.</p>



<p>While <strong><a class="" href="https://www.3cx.com/blog/releases/ios-call-transfer/">BLF screen access</a></strong> isn’t currently available during transfer, we are actively working on adding this functionality soon.</p>

<p>The latest 3CX Android App update introduces powerful new features, including BLF (Busy Lamp Field) support, queue login and status control, connection quality monitoring, and Google contact synchronization. Hot on the heels of the Android 15 release, the 3CX Android App was fully optimized within days, leveraging improved audio focus capabilities and updated internal libraries. With better stability and reduced crashes, this update delivers enhanced performance at no extra cost. Read on to explore the key enhancements in this final release.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>BLF Support for Real-Time Call Handling</strong></h3>



<p>BLF support now provides real-time visibility of colleagues’ availability—whether they’re on a call, away, or busy. This feature enables seamless call management with options to initiate new calls, perform blind or attended transfers, and park or unpark calls. For users on V20 Update 5, Call Pickup functionality allows taking over a colleague’s call with ease.</p>



<p>To access BLF in the Android app:</p>



<ol start="1" class="wp-block-list">
<li>Tap the <strong>Team</strong> button in the navigation bar.</li>



<li>Switch the filter to <strong>BLF</strong> from the top-right corner.</li>



<li>If BLF is already set up in the Web Client, it will automatically be enabled in the Android app.</li>



<li>To configure BLF manually, go to the Web Client, tap the three-dot menu, navigate to <strong>Settings > BLF</strong>, and set up preferred BLF types, including line monitoring, speed dial, shared parking, presence status changes, and queue login/logout.</li>
</ol>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Queue Login &amp; Status Control</strong></h3>



<p>Manage queue settings even while on a call with enhanced status control features. Pause additional incoming calls—whether from queues or extensions—to focus on active conversations. The ability to change queue status during a call eliminates workflow disruptions, allowing for a more streamlined experience.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Connection Quality Monitoring &amp; Reporting</strong></h3>



<p>Identify and resolve call quality issues effortlessly using the <strong>Call Monitoring Tool</strong>:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li>Open the <strong>hamburger menu</strong> and tap <strong>Monitor Connection Quality</strong>.</li>



<li>Select the monitoring period to track network performance.</li>



<li>Access call quality reports post-call via the <strong>Call History</strong> tab.</li>



<li>For a detailed analysis, log into the Web Client, navigate to <strong>Calls</strong>, and click <strong>Show Call Quality Report</strong> next to the relevant call.</li>

<p>With V20 Update 5, the 3CX Android App now supports <strong>Google Workspace integration</strong>, allowing users to synchronize personal contacts seamlessly. To enable this feature:</p>

<p>Need to modify a number before dialing? The <strong>Edit Before Call</strong> feature allows users to make last-minute changes to external numbers:</p>

<li>Tap the desired contact or use the menu button to select <strong>Edit Before Call</strong>.</li>

<p>The V20 3CX Call Flow Designer allows businesses to automate call handling, ensuring customers are directed to the right destination efficiently. Calls can be routed based on time, caller input, or business rules, reducing agent workload and minimizing call transfers. Features include prioritizing VIP customers, scheduling callbacks, and implementing authentication measures for security—all without requiring coding knowledge.</p>



<p>CFD also facilitates workflow automation, CRM and ERP integration, AI-driven routing, VIP handling, and self-service options. This reduces customer churn, cuts costs through automation, and enhances overall business communication with tailored solutions that boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Enhanced for V20 &#8211; Time-Based Routing with the DateTime Component</strong></h3>



<p>The improved DateTime component provides fine-grained control over call routing based on time-specific criteria, ensuring calls are handled appropriately according to business schedules.</p>



<h4 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>How the DateTime Component Works</strong></h4>



<p>The DateTime component uses two key criteria for call routing:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>DID Filter:</strong> Determines which incoming phone numbers (DIDs) the rule applies to.
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>AllDIDs</strong> – Allows calls from any DID.</li>



<li><strong>AllDIDsWithExceptions</strong> – Allows calls from all DIDs except those specified in the filter list.</li>



<li><strong>SpecificDIDs</strong> – Allows calls only from specified DIDs.</li>
</ul>
</li>



<li><strong>Date and Time Conditions:</strong> Defines the time-based rules for call handling.
<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Day of Week:</strong> Specify particular weekdays and time ranges.</li>



<li><strong>Specific Day:</strong> Set call handling rules for specific dates.</li>



<li><strong>Date Range:</strong> Configure time periods like seasonal shutdowns.</li>



<li><strong>3CX Office Hours:</strong> Routes calls according to defined office hours.</li>



<li><strong>3CX Out of Office Hours:</strong> Handles calls when outside office hours.</li>



<li><strong>3CX Holidays:</strong> Follows holiday-specific call routing settings.</li>
</ul>

<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>DateTime Conditions Collection Editor</strong></h3>



<p>Multiple date conditions can be configured in the DateTime Conditions Collection Editor. If one condition evaluates as true, the entire condition is considered true. Additionally, the &#8220;From&#8221; and &#8220;To&#8221; fields are inclusive ranges. For example, if the time range is set from 08:00 to 15:00, the configuration should be set from 08:00 to 14:59.</p>



<p>Routing decisions are processed from left to right. If two conditions evaluate as true, only the first valid condition will be executed. Branches can be reordered using drag-and-drop functionality or right-click options.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Running the CFD App on 3CX</strong></h3>



<p>Once the CFD app is built and uploaded, it can be configured to run under the following scenarios:</p>



<ul class="wp-block-list">
<li><strong>Upon receiving a call on a trunk</strong></li>



<li><strong>When a user dials a dial code</strong></li>



<li><strong>When a specific DID is called</strong></li>
</ul>



<p>Additionally, if a department is selected, the DateTime component will follow that department’s configured hours. If no department is specified and &#8220;System Wide&#8221; is selected, it will default to the main office hours.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Build Output Enhancements</strong></h3>



<p>Users can now easily download generated C# script files and WAV files during the build process and paste them directly into the Call Script Editor via the Admin Console.</p>
